Kimberly Weintraub’s expertise in Dental and Oral Surgery led her to make her Entrepreneurial debut opening Dental Billing & Consulting Professionals, LLC in 2016; a firm specializing in full-service accounts receivable management for dental surgeons.

Kimberly’s journey began twenty years ago when she accepted her first position as an oral surgical assistant. At that time, there were no hygiene regulations or protocols let alone the need to be licensed. As Kimberly’s passion for patient care developed, so did the regulations governing the dental field. As her interests grew, she started to invest more time in the operations of the practice, leaving the chair and focusing on understanding filing systems, bookkeeping, and most importantly insurance claims and coding. In this new role she honed her expertise, learning the entire back-office operations. As her knowledge and confidence grew, Kimberly saw an opportunity to create efficiencies and optimize oral surgical office operations; affording the doctors time to focus on patient care and the growth of their practices.  

By working primarily in back-office operations, Kimberly missed the connection to patients and the interactions she shared with them.  To further advance her career, Kimberly took the leap and went back to school to become a nurse. She completed her BSN and worked as a critical care nurse.

As an operational owner and nurse, Kimberly has the innate ability to empathize with the patients and provide a higher level of care and support. She understands the pressures and struggles that oral surgical practices experience, and is able to eliminate cash flow issues and coding frustrations that are commonly experienced in billing and back office operations. 

Her patient-first mindset is the driving factor and mission that each of her employees embody. Kathryn Myler Folsom

Kathryn joins DBCP with 20 years of data management experience. With an emphasis on data integrity, reporting, and analytics, she thrives in her role of continually evaluating business processes that create efficient and effective work practices in the face of ever-changing needs. Kathryn recognizes that keeping up with daily operations and the modern demands of multi-tasking often means that big picture data analysis takes a backseat to other priorities – when in actuality it should be driving those priorities. Identifying trends in data, whether its financial trends, claim processing trends, or workflow trends, can very quickly illuminate areas of strength and areas of potential growth. Having this knowledge is essential in creating key performance metrics and informing data-supported decision-making. Kathryn is excited to bring this unique perspective not only to DBCP but also to the dental practices it supports.

What Kathryn loves most about being part of the DBCP team is the company’s inherent sense of balance. She shares, “By providing clients a remote model for accounts receivable management, patient care becomes the only in-person concern and the detail-orientated nuances of billing are addressed outside the bustle of the treatment environment. This creates a meaningful workflow balance for everyone. Similarly, this remote model offers our own team the flexibility to work whenever needed. We often start working before our clients’ offices open in the morning and long after they close at night. It’s a wonderful opportunity to find a work, life balance while remaining steadfast in our commitment to excellence in the services we provide.”

When she’s not immersed in data, you can find Kathryn cooking, traveling, and enjoying time with her family in Amherst, Massachusetts.
